Jayhawks Leave No Doubt in Commanding Performance at the GLD
Muskegon Community College Jayhawks Wrestling Dominates Great Lakes Duals, Finishes 4-0
Palatine, IL– 11/22 – The Muskegon Community College (MCC) Jayhawks Wrestling team delivered a commanding performance at the Great Lakes Duals hosted by Harper College, achieving a perfect 4-0 record on the day, highlighted by a decisive victory over NJCAA nationally ranked opponent.
MCC's dominant run began with a powerful statement, defeating Bryant and Stratton 45-6. The Jayhawks followed up with a shutout victory over Joliet Junior College, 55-0, demonstrating complete control across all weight classes. The momentum continued with a strong win against Triton Community College, 38-10.
The highlight of the day came in the final dual against the host team, #16 ranked Harper College, where the Jayhawks secured victory with a final score of 30-19 behind bonus point victories by Jack Guerrero, Colin Kuhn, Alex Hicks, and Andrew Baldwin. This win solidified MCC's standing as a force to be reckoned with in the Great Lakes Region.

Other undefeated Jayhawks were Kyron Zoet (2-0), Harrison Meekhof (2-0), Carson Gorton (1-0), and Jonathan Krebs (1-0).
"This was an outstanding team effort," said head coach, Cody Carpenter. "I'm really proud of the way our guys represented our community this weekend."
The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks will look to carry this momentum when they head to Niagara in two weeks. "We have some fun tests coming up; we'll get a chance to evaluate ourselves and see how we stack up at the mid-point of the season. We'll see some good teams from out east when we go to Niagara. The following week at Triton, the boys will get to test themselves against some tough competition from all over the Mid-West. But we're up forthe challenge. I love the way they are wrestling and supporting each other right now."
