Jayhawk Softball Earn MCCAA Recognition For a Strong 2026 Season
The Muskegon Community College softball program saw multiple student-athletes recognized across the MCCAA and Region XII postseason awards following an impressive 2026 campaign filled with standout performances and program growth.
Leading the way for the Jayhawks were sophomore standouts Grace Lewis and Kaylee Jones, who both earned First Team All-Northern Conference honors after consistent performances throughout conference play. Their impact also extended beyond the conference level as both players received All-MCCAA recognition and were selected to the Region XII Division III All-Region Team, solidifying themselves among the top players in the state.
Muskegon also showcased one of the conference's strongest young cores. Freshmen Kylee Willea and Gracie Willea each earned spots on the Northern Conference All-Freshman Team after impressive debut seasons in a Jayhawk uniform.
Additional recognition came on the Northern Conference Second Team, where Kylee Willea, Lauren Merritt, Delaney Vollmer, Taylor Harrison, and Gracie Willea were all honored for their strong contributions throughout the year.
The Jayhawks also had several players receive Northern Conference Honorable Mention recognition, including Sydnee Kirk, Kennedy Johnson, and Madison Snyder, highlighting the overall depth and competitiveness of the Muskegon roster during the 2026 season.
With multiple all-conference selections, regional honors, and emerging freshman talent, the future continues to look bright for the Jayhawks as the program builds momentum heading into next season.
