Jayhawks Unleash Offensive Storm in 20-0 Shutout
Grace Lewis powered Jayhawk Spring 2026 to a dominant 20-0 win over Bay College on Sunday at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center, driving in four runs on three hits. She came through all game long delivering a two-run double in the fifth, a run-scoring single in the third and fourth, and drawing a bases-loaded walk in the second.
Jayhawk Spring 2026 wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, erupting for five runs in the first inning. Gracie Willea started the rally with an RBI double, Delaney Vollmer followed with a two-run groundout, an error added another run, and Willea capped the inning with a sacrifice fly.
The offense kept rolling in the second, plating five more runs on four hits. Gracie Willea drove in a run with another double, while Grace Lewis and Madison Snyder each worked bases-loaded walks. Harrison added a sacrifice fly, and Willea stayed hot with an RBI single.
Jayhawk Spring 2026 continued to build their lead in the third inning, as Lewis, Snyder, Taylor Harrison, and Willea each drove in a run to extend the advantage.
In the circle, Harrison earned the win with a strong performance, allowing just two hits over five shutout innings while striking out seven and walking three. Bay College starter Gerow struggled early, giving up five runs (two earned) on three hits in one inning of work.
Jayhawk Spring 2026 totaled 19 hits in the game, led by leadoff hitter KayleeJones, who went 4-for-5 at the plate. Willea, Vollmer, and Snyder also had multi-hit performances. Lewis added two stolen bases as part of an aggressive effort on the basepaths, with the team swiping five total. Defensively, Jayhawk Spring 2026 was flawless, committing no errors, with Vollmer leading the way with five defensive plays.
Fonder and Bower each recorded a hit for Bay College.
