Jayhawk Invite Proves Worthy
Jayhawks were paced by personal bests.

On October 12th the Jayhawks played host to one of the largest collegiate meets in the state. The Jayhawk invite saw nearly 2700 people descend upon University park golf course for a near perfect day for racing.
The Jayhawks were led by Anthony Kiaunis who was 51st overall with a PR of 27:04. Both William Ripple and Josiah Frazier had PRS of 28:14 and 28:21.
The race saw teams from NCAA D1, NCAA D2, NCAA D3, NAIA and JUCOs. New to this year we introduced the new traveling Trophies which will go with the winning team for a year. The trophies (see picture below) were named after Athletic Director Marty McDermott for his years of dedication to the athletic department and bringing Cross Country/Track&Field to the college. The winners of the team trophies this year were Hillsdale College Women's program and Lansing Community College Men's program.
