Jayhawks Dominated vs Alpena Community College 100-60
The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks dominated the Alpena Community College Lumberjacks 100 - 60 at the Health and Wellness Center Saturday evening. The Jayhawks were dominant on both sides of the ball in the first half, scoring 47 and holding the Lumberjacks to just 31 points.
The Jayhawks managed to best their first half efforts in the second, pouring in 53 points and holding Alpena to just 29 points and a measly 25% from the field. Muskegon featured five players scoring in double figures, led by sophomore forward Ny'Zhem Marshall. Marshall finished with a game-high 18 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Sophomore guard Lamarkis Graham poured in 16 points and knocked down four three-pointers. Freshmen guards David Cross and Jamarion Taylor chipped in 14. Freshman guard Darryl Thompkins contributed with 11.
The win improved the Jayhawks record to 10-12 and 4-5 in conference play. The Jayhawks hope to extend their winning streak next Wednesday, February 11th at home against Montcalm Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
