Muskegon Jayhawks defeated Aquinas JV
December 5, 2025
The Muskegon Jayhawks defeated Aquinas JV Friday night 84-66 at the Health and Wellness Center. The Jayhawks' strong first half gave them a strong cushion early, as the Jayhawks led by 20 points heading into the break. The Jayhawks put together one of their strongest defensive performances of the year in the first half, holding Aquinas JV to just 24 points.
Aquinas JV came out of the halftime break knocking down more shots from outside the perimeter and started to find holes in the Jayhawk defense, but not for long. The Muskegon Jayhawks would go on to be outscored by Aquinas JV 42-40, but it was too little too late for Aquinas JV.
Sophomore Lamarkis Graham has continued his offensive dominance as of late, and he led all scorers on the night finishing with 26 points on 10 for 15 shooting from the field, (5-9 from the three-point line). Sophomore Ny'Zhem Marshall had a strong performance on both ends of the court, finishing with 18 points, nine rebounds, five steals and three blocks. Freshman guard Darryl Thompkins had 15 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Freshman guard Jamarion Taylor had 11 points off the bench.
The Jayhawks' victory improved their record to 4-5. The Jayhawks hope to stay in the win column next Wednesday, December 10th at home versus Calvin University JV. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
