Jayhawk Baseball Players Earn MCCAA & Region 12 Recognition
The 2026 season proved to be a strong year for the Muskegon Community College baseball program, as several Jayhawks earned postseason recognition from the MCCAA and Region XII coaches.
Leading the way was freshman standout Johnny Karsten, who earned one of the conference's highest honors by being named Northern Conference Freshman of the Year. Karsten also secured First Team All-Northern Conference honors, a spot on the All-Freshman Team, and recognition on the All-MCCAA Team and Region XII Division II All-Region Team.
Quincy Thome continued the strong showing for Muskegon by earning First Team All-Northern Conference recognition alongside Karsten. Thome was also selected to the All-MCCAA Team and Region XII Division II All-Region Team after an impressive season at the plate and in the field.
Jaxon Huffman joined his teammates on the First Team All-Northern Conference squad and was also recognized on both the All-MCCAA Team and Region XII Division II All-Region Team, highlighting the depth of talent within the Jayhawk lineup.
Muskegon also placed multiple players on the Northern Conference All-Freshman Team, with Brady French earning honors after a strong debut season for the Jayhawks. French later added Second Team All-Northern Conference recognition to cap off an impressive freshman campaign.
Additional recognition for the Jayhawks came through Honorable Mention selections, where Brayden Johnson and Koby Windeler represented Muskegon for their contributions throughout the season.
The number of postseason honors reflects the continued growth and competitiveness of the Muskegon baseball program, with the Jayhawks showcasing talent across every class level while building momentum for the future.
